Join with Trinity Hospital Twin City staff in praying during the Word Day of the Sick on Tuesday, February 11th.  Faith and charity: "We ought to lay down our lives for one another." 1 John 3:16

22nd Annual World Day of the Sick Prayer Excerpt:

"Lord, grant your healing grace to all who are sick, injured or disabled, that they may be made whole. Through your loving presence, may all who are lonely, anxious or despondent find comfort and hope. Restore those who are in mental distress to soundness of mind and serenity of spirit. Bless physicians, nurses and all others who minister to the suffering, granting them wisdom, skill, compassion, faith and charity."

Since 1992, the Catholic Church has celebrated World Day of the Sick on February 11th--the day on which the church commemorates the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes--under the sponsorship of the Pontifical Council for Health Pastoral Care. World Day of the Sick has three themes: 1. reminds us to pray for those who are sick, 2. invites us to reflect on and respond to human suffering, and 3. recognizes and honors all persons who work in healthcare and serve as caregivers.
